In return, we provide our partners with a wealth of benefits, including public relations, tax deductions and a positive effect on company morale. House sponsors are critical partners in helping Paterson Habitat build affordable home ownership opportunities. The sponsorship helps cover some or all of the cost of materials used during construction. House sponsors receive a variety of benefits according to the level of sponsorship.
Each year, for the month of June, we host a three-week fundraiser called the Corporate Challenge, where teams of employees become construction volunteers during half-day shifts. At lunch, volunteers, incoming families and Habitat staff share their stories. This has proven to be a wonderful team-building experience for participating businesses. 100% of funds raised by this event go toward building Paterson Habitat homes.
Several times a year Paterson Habitat holds events to raise funds to meet operating and construction costs. Companies can assist with such programs by agreeing to underwrite a portion of the event.
