What is Corporate Challenge?

Once a year for the past 25 years, Paterson Habitat for Humanity holds a month-long event where corporations from all over the tri-state area send volunteers to our construction sites to build. This is the only time of year that Habitat raises funds from construction volunteers. 

In 2018, over 40 companies sent more than 900 of their employees and accepted the challenge—raising $320,000!

Corporate Challenge is based on a simple concept. Teams of employees work a half day shift during the three-week fundraiser.  At lunch (provided by Habitat), volunteers, future homeowner families and Habitat staff share their stories. This has proven to be a wonderful team-building experience for participating businesses. Every year, Corporate Challenge is oversubscribed. 100% of funds raised by this event go toward building Paterson Habitat homes.
