Volunteering with Paterson Habitat will not only raise your company profile within the local community, but it will also help build relationships within teams and boost company morale. Your employees will have an opportunity to interact with one another in a non-work setting, meeting colleagues in a way that stimulates communication and company team building. This in turn will have a beneficial effect on productivity as employees return to work feeling motivated and inspired.
As a construction group, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of phases of construction – framing walls, installing insulation, hanging drywall, laying down hardwood floor and tiling, painting the interiors, putting up trim and doing finish work. We are looking for individuals with or without construction skills; however, all volunteers must be 16 or older. Click here for more information.
Corporate Challenge is based on a simple concept. Teams of employees work half day shifts during the three-week fundraiser. At lunch (provided by Habitat), volunteers, incoming families and Habitat staff share their stories. This has proven to be a wonderful team-building experience for participating businesses. Every year, Corporate Challenge is oversubscribed. 100% of funds raised by this event go toward building a Habitat house. Corporate Challenge is usually held in the first 3 weeks of June.
