Every year volunteers contribute over 25,000 hours of time, either individually or as part of a group, to help Paterson Habitat accomplish its mission in the City of Paterson. Volunteers participate in a large range of activities, including volunteering on our construction sites or in the office, serving on one of our committees or working on special events. With our help, families can achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life.
From customer service to furniture repair, our ReStore offers volunteer opportunities geared toward individual interests and skills. By giving your time, you can help the Paterson Habitat ReStore do more to support local building projects for those in our community. To volunteer at the ReStore, visit habitatrestorewayne.org for more information.
We are continuously seeking volunteers to provide administrative support at our operational office. Various volunteer service opportunities become available on an as-need basis, to serve within departments such as Family Services, Resource Development, and administrative office support.

We believe that everyone should have a decent affordable place to live. While building homes is central to our mission, it is only one piece of the puzzle. Ask your government representatives to change the systems, policies, attitudes and institutional behaviors that lead to inadequate housing and homelessness. Take action NOW!
Women Build opportunities are available to any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Learn more about WB.
