Why volunteer with ReStore?

We offer a variety of opportunities and flexible scheduling to our highly valued volunteers. Volunteers are essential to the ReStore. It is through the efforts of volunteers that we are able to progress steadily toward our mission of providing revenue for Habitat homes while diverting waste from landfills. As a volunteer, you will become a member of the Habitat for Humanity family and meet new people. You will have the chance to share your expertise and skills or to learn something new, and you will receive recognition for your service. We welcome you to come as you are, and we only ask that you bring a willingness to be an important link in the mission of Habitat for Humanity!

Paterson Habitat’s ReStore® is open for business (see store hours) located at 415 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470.  Our ReStore is helping expand our ability to build homes in the City of Paterson.  We sell gently used or overstock building materials, appliances and furniture donated by businesses, contractors and individuals.

Volunteer Orientation

Join us every Thursday at 2 pm and Saturday at 10 am for Volunteer Orientation at the ReStore.  No need to RSVP just stop on by!  Please bring with you a signed Volunteer Waiver Form. 

Volunteer needs:

•     Customer service
•     Donation receipts
•     Drivers and strong individuals to pick-up donations
•     Receive merchandise
•     Cashiers and more!

Who can volunteer?

Anyone over 16 for most positions.  This is a great opportunity for community service credit at school or college.  If you have always wanted to volunteer for Habitat but don’t know how to swing a hammer then our ReStore is the place for you (no outside work).
