The Paterson Habitat ReStore accepts new and used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers and property managers. Most of these donations are offered to the general public to purchase at reduced prices at the Paterson Habitat ReStore.

The choice you make can literally change the world you live in. Collectively we dumped about 210 million tons of junk every year, much of it recyclable. By donating gently used furniture, appliances, fixtures, and building materials to Paterson Habitat's ReStore you become part of the solution to reducing fossil fuel consumption, reducing landfills in your backyard while giving families the opportunity for first time home ownership.

Steps to Donate to Paterson Habitat ReStore:
Review our list of acceptable donations.
If your item is considered acceptable according to our list, you may call our Donation Hotline (973) 782-6996 OR fill out a ReStore Donation Form. You will be asked for a description of the item(s) as well as your contact information. Your call will be returned to determine if we are able to use your donation and to schedule a pick-up time. Acceptable drop-off donations are welcome anytime during our receiving hours.
If the Paterson Habitat ReStore is picking up your donated item(s), please follow these guidelines for the safest, most efficient pick-ups:
- Have all materials available on ground level (i.e. garage or driveway)
- Please mark all items "ReStore"
- Absolutely no hazardous materials
- We are unable to haul away trash
As we are only able to accept reusable materials, our staff may have to decline some materials at the time of pickup. Our goal is to parlay the proceeds of our sales into the construction of Paterson Habitat homes. We cannot accept items we can not sell.
