International Efforts
Our International Commitment:
While our progress is most easily seen in the inner city neighborhoods of Paterson, your support for Paterson Habitat has allowed us to reach out to impoverished families around the world and other parts of the United States
Over the past 25 years, 10% of general donations (tithes) form PH provided over $611,000 toward building homes in partnership with impoverished families in other countries ranging from Kenya to Mexico.
While tithe donations are a mere fraction of construction dollars spent in Paterson, we estimate close to 400 homes have been built outside the US – the majority in our sister affiliate of Kenya.
In 2009 we allotted $50,000 of tithe money to build homes in Thailand’s Mekong Delta as part of the 2009 Jimmy and Rosalind Carter Work Projects.
