Women Build 2010

Paterson Habitat for Humanity is conducting its 2010 Women Build project.  Women from all over the tri-state area will join forces to finance, design and build a Habitat home and help a family begin a new life in a decent, affordable home.  Our Women Build project is part of a national effort that will see women volunteers learn construction skills, build more than 250 homes across the United States, and have fun while making a difference in their communities.

Never built anything before?  Don’t worry!  Many women come to build with no construction skills at all and still make a difference.  Other women will use their skills, talents and contacts to help with fundraising, event planning, organizing volunteers, writing press releases and making phone calls. Women Build is much more than a simple home construction project.  Women Build brings individuals and groups of women together to create something significant, and enjoy a sense of community and personal accomplishment.
