"Go Green" with Paterson Habitat

GREEN MISSION STATEMENT:  Paterson Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical ministry committed to building decent, safe affordable housing that is energy-efficient, environmentally responsible and economical to maintain. We are faithful to building quality homes that are designed to be durable and healthy through the use of sustainable methods and materials where possible. We build in neighborhood locations that provide easy access to services and public transportation. Our homeowner families are the building blocks for stronger communities.

Our traditionally modest and standard Habitat house is designed to minimize resources and waste.  High levels of insulation, high-performance windows, and a tight building envelope as required by Energy Star assure an energy efficient building.  Attention to indoor air quality and reduced total cost of ownership add to the home's value.

Thanks to you! Habitat can offer healthy, affordable homes to sustain our families and the communities in which they live and work.

Thanks to our green corporate sponsors! including Whirlpool, DOW, Valspar, PSEG, Hunter Douglas and Kuiken-Green for contributing products and services to our sustainable building programs.
